For those of you guys with a motor, what is the TBO and engine cost and/or the per hour engine reserve you use?

Thanks!

Is this just curiosity, or financial planning?

The TBO on the Wankel engine in my ASH 26 E is "on condition" - no hour
limit. Practically speaking, at 10 hours a year on the engine (my
average, with 200+ hours of flying/year, it's going last way longer than
I am.

Even the gas engine gliders typically don't wear out, but die of old
age, improper storage, pilot error, or mechanic's error.

Both. Thanks for the info. Just trying to get an understanding and comparison of the different engines and their strengths and weaknesses. The info on the TBO is good to know from a depreciation standpoint when looking at used self launchers.
