1800 MSL which is 100 feet above the runway.
The finish line had it's east end on the west side of the field so all finishes were away from people and set up finishes to lead into the pattern for the most part.
Harris Hill is unique in that this kind of a finish can be done with quite safe margins compared to many other sites.

Specifically - Harris Hill is a like an aircraft carrier deck sitting about 900 feet above the surrounding valley. So, while the finish gate was 100 feet above Harris Hill airport, it was about 1000 feet above the designated emergency field in the valley. In the event that it all went wrong (too low and too slow), a pilot had the easy option to land in the valley.
