I just renewed my subscription which expired 10/12, and have my receipt, but XCSkies still has me locked out of my pages, insisting that I renew again! Is the site down? I've tried to contact them twice but got no response, so had to call the credit card company to cancel the payment.

Mine works as well; when I renewed this year it made me re-register. When I did, it worked without asking for a second payment.

Hmmm . . must be my account they've screwed up. When I renewed, it asked me to add a second email address to my account, and I did, but I was never allowed back into my own account!

The maintenance of XC Skies is poor at best. Pretty wretched for a subscription-based product.
Look at the home page regarding the IOS app: "Android based devices will be available late spring, 2012." for a reality check.
http://www.xcskies.com/
Still no convergence, called "BL Max Up/Down Motion" in BLIPMAPs, which was supposed to be added years ago.
Check out the XC Skies Forum for more evidence. Most recent questions are unanswered. The most popular topic: "The end of XC Skies?"

I am another subscriber who would rather this was not the case. My registration on the XC Skies forum has had the following message for well over a year:
"Your membership is pending"
Jim, your subscription is probably pending, too.

Hey Jim.
Just wondering if you ever got your xcskies account working? I'm also having the same problem.

Brendon, if you try to contact Chris Galli about this, it's going to be a waste of time.
XC Skies New South Wales forecasts are still the crap they were a year ago. N/S and E/W lines 100km in length zig-zagging across NSW with ~2000' differences in "top of usable lift" and ~3Kt difference in "updraft velocity" along them.
There has been no response to any attempted contact. He's evidently not interested.

XCSkies is working here in New Mexico. Of course the top of the lift is
shown as between the surface and 1,000' AGL and, with visibility less
than 1/2 mile in freezing fog where I live, I expect the top of the lift
is closer to 0' AGL...
I flew my Pipistrel Sinus yesterday and it was completely smooth from
the surface (6,200' MSL) to 11,500' MSL.

XC Skies has worked during Summer time in California and Nevada too.
But that's like limping home from a task into Colorado thinking "man, that was tough" and someone who went no further than Edgewood saying "there was lift everywhere!"
Temperatures are low for the next couple of days, but have a look at XC Skies Friday 08 Jan to Sunday 10 Jan, 1400 local (GMT +11 hours) centered around the Pilliga Scrub (NW of Sydney, between Coonabarabran and Wee Waa, NSW Australia).
Didn't think weather formed straight lines like that every soarable day for a year.
