Anyone have this issue - the cruise/climb switch on my LX5000 does not change the setting any more (vario stuck in cruise), the auto settings do not work. The switch itself is working so this has to be a software issue. Any ideas on how to fix it.

There is a setting in there somewhere for the SC switch to be
on/off/taster - you can try playing with those. Are you sure there
isn't a short somewhere down the line from the switch? If you are sure
it is not the hardware you can try resetting the unit to factory
defaults - the password should be some where in the manual....

Good luck

Hi Alan

check the Vario priority switch as per below, it might be the problem

The cable marked VAR PRIOR may be connected to a simple ON /OFF switch and may be installed in the instrument pannel. If the switch is closed the LX5000 will always be in the vario-mode, regardless of the position of the flap switch or the setting of the automatic speed command.
