The US team should all be there now. A few days of prep and practice and the competition will be on.

Hey Jim, thanks for the plug. I'm here crewing for JP Stewart. Boyd Willat and Daniel Sazhin are the rest of our team. All flying Standard Cirri. We've been working pretty hard getting them ready for the contest so haven't had much time to take pictures and type. That should get better as we get closer to official practice and the contest.
Enjoying the hot weather in the southern hemisphere!

Marshall McClung got JP and I in touch a while ago. Ben Loxton showed me his Cirrus a month ago at Bacchus Marsh as he was prepping it for Boyd. Witnessed Attila do great things in Zulu Romeo out of Lake Keepit.
Quite a few people I've spoken with around the World are excited about this US team. Narromine is a great site, this is going to be cool.

Did you have to keep the hangar doors closed?
Must have been tough to stay on the ground and do maintenance yesterday, some 600k triangles flown in Standard Cirrii. Pepe did a 900k triangle in his 31.
Pretty typical Narromine.

Looks like Day 1 was scrubbed.
Gliders heading back to the tiedowns, task removed from livetrack24.
Wind at Dubbo NNW at 23MPH.

Yes day 1 scrubbed. Front approached quicker than expected. Wind was kansas-like. Lots of high clouds. One of the standard class ships that launched landed back but the others were staying up. From what I heard things were ok but not as good as hopes for. Probably would've been a lot of landouts.
