That model reminded me of the "Flying Fox" toy of 1959.

I remember asking for one for Christmas but I didn't get it, presumably
because it cost too much. The $14.98 asking price comes out to about
$120.00 in today's money. One of the kids in school got one and brought to
class for "show and tell."

Reminds me of my 'Vertibird' and 'Dareplane' of my yoot. 'course,
now, for a tad more than $120 one can get a PC and a decent flight
simulator program.

Had a wonderful metal diecast Gloster Javelin my folks got for me in
England in 1963. Alas, lent it to a school friend, who promptly
"lost" it.

Why is it as we get older, we miss the toys of our younger days? Like
Lawn Darts ("Hey kids! Want to be an only child?")

The helicopter bears a resemblance to a Sikorsky S-58. The
