Had to look further into this powerless bird.
Found out more, of course, but the interesting part was
deeper in the article:
"Hamburger Flugzeugbau was an aircraft company, located
in the Finkenwerder quarter of Hamburg, Germany. The
company was established in July 1933 as a subsidiary of
the Blohm & Voss shipyards as part of the German Nazi
re-armament program. It has managed to survive under
different names as part of different consortia, and became
part of the present day ***Airbus and European aerospace***
program."
Verrrry Interesting!

That was name of the JPG. Maybe someone else in the group can identify it.

That was a French attempt at a "flying fortress"

That's the only fighter-glider I've ever heard of. It would be towed to
altitude above bomber formations by a Bf-109 and then released to fire two
30mm cannons while diving. While several prototypes were built, it never
went into production and crews regarded it as something of a suicide
weapon...

Blackburn Blackburn (seems someone had a brainlock in aircraft naming
that day...)

Many of their aircraft were named after British and Commonwealth cities
and towns, hence Blackburn, Beverley, Ripon, Airedale, Sydney, Perth...

This was subsequently rename as the Westand Wendover. But that didn't
keep it from being scrapped with just the one prototype built.
