In my opinion the Jepp (formerly Sanderson) instructional material
by and large sucks. Their expertise in charting does not carry
over into other areas of their business.

Jeppessen training materials are exquisite. They are well organized and
indexed, printed on quality paper with good ink, and the visual aids
are extremely effective. I use Naco charts but swear by Jepp training
materials.

Actually, they may be printed on exquisite paper, but I've found the
content (at least on the advanced stuff) to be lacking. Gleim is no
frills and direct and to the point.

Gleim's best value in my opinion is their online package. Unlike most
of the others on the market, you can actually use just your computer
and their software to work everything (the charts and everything zoom
nicely and they give you the measuring tools you'll need).
