View Full Version : Thank You

As an old fart who has returned to soaring after many years hiatus, I want to thank all you guys for your posts. The info shared here (with proper BS filtering of course) has been indispensable in helping me to get up to speed with the modern soaring scene.

My experience harkens back to the 70's where guys like moffat, AJ, Streideck, and Gimmey were the guys, moving map gps was a dream and a flight computer was made of plastic. So for me entering the "modern" electrical soaring world has been a fun challenge.

Thanks again for all the info.
Dan

Ps I still dont care for most of the modern type of tasks, A set speed triangle where everyone has to fly into/ thru the same conditions is imho still the best overall test of soaring pilot against soaring pilot. A landout every now and then is a good thing lol
