History says that gliding pioneer Otto Lilienthal died after stalling
his primitive hang glider from an agl of about 50 feet. As a pilot I
never found much mysterious about that. However, some curious souls in
Germany intend to recreate his glider from original plans and materials
to perform some modern air tunnel research on it, and perhaps to better
understand what happened to Otto.

I wish them well and will be very interested in their results.
