As a relatively new pilot I want to ask a question about airspace. In Southern
California we have a lot of class C airspace. The ceiling is generally 4000
ft. AGL for class C, right. Someone mentioned to me that to legally fly over
class C you must have a transponder. If not, you must be at least 10,000 ft. (I
presume MSL) over. I can't seem to locate this in the regulations. Appreciate
any wisdom on the matter.
