Right now Ron Schwartz is on course for a 1000km attempt out of Blairstown NJ in his schweizer 1-26. Who says you need glass or high L/D to go far.

looks like Ron landed back at Blaristown. 643 km by the tracking page. Not too shabby. A nice warmup flight. The days are getting longer :)
