View Full Version : What's With OLC

In the past three days, when I log in, I'm directed to a page which
says, "Es wurde festgestellt dass Deine E-Mail Adresse falsch ist.Bitte
klicke hier um Deine Daten zu aktualisieren."
<https://www.onlinecontest.org/olc-2.0/secure/memberadmin.html>

Clicking the link takes me to a page to update my personal information
which I've done. But when I try to upload a flight, it takes me back to
the same link. My workaround has been to not log in and then do a
direct claim, which asks for my username and password and then uploads
the flight. What has changed?

It doesn't like your e-mail address. If it is correct, change it to something, then change it back. That is the Microsoft way!

Nope. It thanked me nicely, but behaved the same way. Any other
suggestions?

Send them money and get a Smiley?

Just as soon as they give me the option of changing the units to knots
and feet like they do at Skylines.aero...

You can click on "Service" and then at the bottom of the page, fill out the support request form. The support guys will be able to help you.

Thanks! I'll give that a try.

Glad I hadn't sent this first. I did as you suggested, selected, "I
cannot claim a flight", and this is the instant response from the website:

Please ask somebody else with more experience (a competitor with smiley
may be able to help you)

Now /_THAT's_/ customer service!

So I tried again stating that I don't remember my login details. We'll
see what comes of that...

I was getting same response that you initially mentioned when trying to upload flight from my smartphone, which I had previously done without issues. I would reenter my email address as it prompted me to and nothing happened.. Finally I entered an alternate email address and that solved the problem, at least for now... Have uploaded 2-3 flights via smartphone without issues.

OK, I simply tried changing my email address and then back with no
solution. I'll try changing it and leaving it.

No change. I used a different email address and get the same result.

No reply from OLC to my "I forgot my password" request.

At least XCSkies works...

And every time I go to their personal information page, my email address
field is blank. I have used two valid email addresses and neither seems
to work after 5 years of using them. Must be another software "upgrade"...

Dan, do you only accept cookies from specific websites? Have you updated your browser? Some newer browser versions ie Firefox require sites on the exception list to be specified with http or https, www, etc. It used to be just domain name dot thingy.

Same thing was happening with mine I was using one email address, an earthlink addrees, and nothing happened and I never received a confirmation email. Switched to Gmail address, got confirmation email, and life with OLC has been good since...

Send your flight to GlidePort.Aero for analysis..... very much nicer user interface (but no OLC points)
