As a flight instructor, I was given free access to the site several
years ago. I like the concept and implementation. I feel that their demo
"tour" accurately represents to course that they are selling. I wrote a
review of it as part an article for the Greater Boston Soaring Club
newsletter (hence the several local references, sorry). The article can
be found at http://home.comcast.net/%7Everhulst/GBSC/student/ktest.html.
The article is about 3 years old and a bit dated. The price has
increased to $99 (up from $79) and has been significantly revised.

My .02. You can find almost all of the training material you need
for *free* on the net. You could use the GGS "table contents" as a
guide, or go to the FAA or Transport Canada sites and get a "Study
Guide", that will tell you what you need to study.

Second option, is the libraries, 98% of "glider" ground school is the
same as power-aircraft material. The other 2% can be filled by
reading a glider specific book.

You could probably pass the written after a few weeks of intensive
reading/study.
