Billy rang me some weeks back and said:
Set your Tivo to record "MegaShippers Season 1 Episode 1"
Fast-Forward to minute 49.
I almost died laughing...
See ya, Dave
PS: What kind of insomniac is watching "MegaShippers" on Discovery channel?

Almost died laughing until you start thinking about what the guy said and what they probably did. The had to "hoist up the back end up so it wouldn't drag on the ramp." I am guessing it was still hooked to the towing vehicle, they put forks under the back, and lifted. So, it is possible that tongue got one heck of a load test done on it!
Some things, you just don't want to know...
Cool that your trailer made a TV show! That makes it worth more now, right?

Yep, that's what they did...
Even though I had skids installed around the rear jacks...
Arrived with only minor damage to the jockey wheel.

This is the reason I've never taken my glider across to Vancouver Island via BC Ferries to fly at Port Alberni. I've been tempted but I had visions of hundreds of angry fellow passenger glaring at me while the departure was delayed by my trailer getting hung up on the ramp!
I've recently been going through 60's and 70's issues of Soaring. Some of the stories back then of people seeing their brand new ship being hauled out of the hold, the whole thing swinging around on the end of a cable far above the deck make for great reading.
