Nimbus 2C gas springs

New flap/spoiler gas springs are on order for my Nimbus 2C.

Would anyone care to give me the procedure for getting the old one out and
the new one in? It looks to be a real pain to get the rear bolt out.

Like L'hotellier couplings gas springs should never have been allowed
in sailplanes.

Since when has maintaining airplanes not been difficult in some area?

Reminds me of the time I went to replace the brake fluid and bleed the
system in the Nimbus 3DM. Carol called that dinner was about ready and
I said "ten minutes". Three days later I had the overhauled system
back in the glider.
