Which software are you running on the Compaq?

Have you tried the easiest thing? Reboot the Compaq!
(recessed button on the back that you can push with
the stylus.)

How about reloading the glide calculating software?

Sounds like you are running a glide calculator software version
designed to detect a vario. What you are seeing sounds like the
software is expecting a Borgelt B50.

What software are you running, WP Pro?
