How does Oudie IGC derive TAS and Wind? Especially when there is no thermalling. It does not have Ptot/Pstat input and does not have heading info.
The TAS (5 bytes) and GSP (5 bytes) are recorded in the *.igc file --in the B-Record, as configured by the I-Record.

Also--quantities TRT and VAT are recorded. What is that?

Thanks

TRT -Track True. Three numbers based on degrees clockwise from 000 for
north

VAT -Compensated variometer (total energy/NETTO) vertical speed in metres
per second and tenths of metres per second with leading zero and no dot
(".") separator between metres and tenths. Valid characters 0-9 and
negative sign "-". Negative values to have negative sign instead of leading
zero
