Folks,
I recently committed to talk about some European racing techniques highlighted in my World's report at a team camp. The guidelines for when to search for thermals and when to park and exploit others doing the searching are interesting.
The camp will likely be run alongside the Cordele cross country camp next spring, the week before the Std, 15m and Open Nationals. I think it will be structured to suit most qualified and interested pilots from any geography.
Lectures and perhaps 2-place flying for the Memorial Day weekend - This will suit folks time and travel constrained who can't get their ship to GA but who can fly commercially into Atlanta Friday and rent a car for the short drive to Cordele.
Lectures and Grand Prix start racing, FAI rules for the Memorial Day weekend - Local folks who can attend with their ship or a loaner for the weekend and folks who can position their ships early for the Nationals and attend the team camp before flying back to work Monday night or Tuesday morning.
Lectures and Grand Prix start racing, FAI rules for the Memorial Day weekend with continued racing during the week prior to the Nationals - folks with pots of vacation.
Expect more from the US Team folks to follow.
Don't reserve that weekend for family time at the beach just yet.
