I flew out of Ben Hoa (helicopters...UH-1). Ben Hoa had two parts...Air Force
and Army. The Army side was tiny...no concrete...just peneprimed dirt!...and
for helicopter ONLY. But it was long enough for a U6 pilot to try to land one
afternoon...object being to NOT have to land at the Air Force side and then
drive the three miles to the Army side.

The guy was successful and it started units (including mine) to start landing
U6s in a revetment are designed for helicopter only.
