I wish the task had been programmed into GlidePort by the organizers. That is a really nice feature of Glideport.aero which isn't being used.
I wish the seniors pilots would all invest 5 minutes to install tracking apps on there smartphones. Watching the Seniors tracker yesterday left much to be desired, as usual. A high percentage of descent trackers would improve the experience from "watching paint dry" to something much more interesting. Sadly, the pilots just cannot be troubled with complex tasks like free smartphone apps?
W is running a mobile tracker and comes in beautifully along with YO and a few others. BZ's android tracker also works great (the one he setup in Ionia last summer for the SGP USA, I believe). The InReach units are nice (show altitude, speed, heading) but many of them are set to 10min tracking intervals. They should change to 1 minute intervals, or less.
