A fellow Glider Pilot who has no internet access has
asked if I would post the following;

Good Home required for a Sylark 2, this fine example
of the mid 50's sailpane makers art is to be given
for free (or if some one is prepared to offer a few
pieces of silver all the better) to a most deserving
person.

Please reply on urasb as to why you think you should
be lucky that person.

Where is it? UK?
Is it junk, or restorable, or airworthy?

Thanks for the posting. I have very fond memories of flying the Skylark many
years ago.

I did my badges including Gold Distance in ours and it is really fun and
especially when the conditions deteriate, the wings get wet, the glass ships
fall and you keep flying.

My apologies.
I did not mean to imply that the Skylark 2 is "junk" (I've actually
never seen one in the US, are there any?). I do have Martin Simons
book "Slingsby Sailplanes", so I've seen pictures. I think pictures
are all that we have in the US of a Skylark 2. I believe there is at
least one Skylark 4 in Canada and maybe 1 or 2 in the US...

Maybe we should increase the population over here in North America...
I owned a K6CR, I like wood! (and belong to the VSA and VGC)
