Hi
My dad/CFIG, Curt Lewis, took some video as I was flying Windy City Soaring
Association's ASK-21 at Hinckley, IL. I edited it and added some Cheap Trick
music on to it and it turned out quite nice in my opinion.

Humm and we wonder why there are not many young people in our sport. Why don't
you take a second to climb down off his a$$ and compliment him?
Great video, Trace! Keep up the great work, and I expect to see your solo
flight when you turn 14!

Tut... I'm sure there was a post flight critique.. his dad was in the back
seat...
give the kid a break.. he's not even old enough to solo yet..
Maybe you should go out and critique his CFIG dad.. and while you are
there.. lets see if you can pass his flight review.

Just for the record ... neither Trace nor I were in the ASK-21 in the footage
that Tut Tut makes issue of. Trace just edited in footage he took of others
taking off and landing to make the music video more interesting.

Thanks Mitch!
it was me takeing all of the video from the OUTSIDE of the plane on the Takeoff
and landing. It was not my takeoff or landing that was viewed from the exterior
of the aircraft. I recorded it only for people that might not know what a
glider is and might like to see the approach/rollout from a different
perspective. I would have waited until the next flight to get another takeoff
but they put the glider away as soon as they were done and I did not want to
wait a week just to get that one little clip. Actually, the clip of my takeoff
my dad took from the inside was 5-6 months before I got the dropped wing
footage.

and an excellent job of editing it is... I wondered if maybe there was a
second flight to get the exterior shots.. and maybe mom took the pictures...
so now you have a fledgling pilot.. photographer.. and film editor on your
hands... you're gonna be one busy dad... good luck..

Hey Trace,
I REALLY enjoyed that. Especially the last comment. Excellent.
Thanks for sharing.
Does anyone else get adrenaline rushes when they hear the vario screaming in
soaring movies? I do. Can't help it...I just want to be there and crank n'
bank.

Trace,
well done - just the kind of stuff I need to pull me through the
winter-blues. Don't let comments like tuttut's discourage you. He's
probably drooling over the nice K21 of yours!
Hope to see you and and your family at Casear Creek - Bring your
models.

Looking forward to it. Phil and I are almost done rebuilding the 2m
AMIGO-II and may have the Kelly there as well.
