When doing 1000K, how many turn points are you allowed
during the flight and how far away from the last turn
point do you have to be to turn at the next point?
I know, hopefully really far but is there a limit?
Thanks

Plus, the (1 to 3) turnpoints have to be declared (electronic or signed
paper declaration) before flight, but they do not have to be flown in the
declared order, nor do you have to use all of them, as long as the resulting
task distance exceeds 1000K (plus any release altitude penalty).

Just adding that the start and finish do not count as turnpoints.

And, you don't need to declare start and finish, you can use the point of
release and the point of landing...

How do the tasks with more turnpoints qualify?I have seen on RAS
ten TP's mentioned, specifically courses in the White Mountains US.
Others here (NZ ,upper north island) have worked out a 1000K with a
start ,5tp's and a remote finish utilizing coastal seacliffs to get past a
large control area for an International airport.

They may qualify for contests or anything else, but not for 1000km FAI
