Attention Southeastern US glider pilots (and all others).

It's that time of the year again!

After taking one year off while hosting the 18M and Open Class Nationals,
the Cordele contest is ready to be flown as a Regionals again.

Dates are June 21 to June 26.

Informal flying will be possible on June 19 and June 20 prior to the
contest.

Location: Crisp County Airport, Cordele Georgia. Located in the near
geographic center of the state on I-75, very convenient to the expressway
with lots of cheap motels and restaurants. Free meals several nights
provided by the local chamber of commerce (Fish Fry) and receptions by the
pool of the sponsoring hotel (Best Western Colonial Inn. 229-273-5420.
*Special rate for glider pilots!*)

We always have unlimited space for entrants due to the very large runways at
the Cordele airport (which used to be a trainining base for bomber pilots
during WW2), so if you have been turned away from contests due to a filled
entry list, that will not be a problem! Come fly! The city of Cordele
welcomes us with open arms and you will enjoy celebrity status all week only
for wearing a soaring hat or t-shirt. We routinely make the headlines of
the local paper (without crashing, you pundits!)

Registration possible on line at SSA website, or just show up early and
register upon arrival.

Contest manager: Clyde Taylor
Contest director: Richard Maleady (TO)
Weatherman: Sam Zimmerman
Top gun pilots: Ken Sorenson, Fernando Silva, Bill Elliot, Andy
McQuigg, Don Wassness........etc. (Come kick their ass!)
