Hi

Since about one year I hear rumors about Cambridge will stop
developping and makeing their great flight instruments. Does anybody
have some more information about that? We plan to buy C302/303 for our
new gliders and don't want to invest in the wrong direction.

Hi,

I will offer my opinion, which is based on my experience working with
Cambridge this year.

I sell their products, but I would never lie or exaggerate to sell products.
I'm a very honest and straightforward person.

I have sold many Cambridge 302, 303 and 302A units this year. I have been
impressed with the speed of delivery, product quality, packaging, included
accessories (tees, tubing, etc.), and support. Gary Kammerer is doing a
great job supporting the products and responds to my e-mails in a very
timely fashion.

I'm aware of only 2 of my customers that received products with minor
quality issues. Cambridge replaced or repaired their units very quickly. I
think it is fair to say that any producer of high tech, low volume products
is bound to have a few errors from time to time. The important thing is how
quickly they respond to the issues. I can sincerely say that I have been
impressed by Cambridge this year.

I do not know what plans Cambridge has for development of new features or
new products. But I do know that the existing products offer features that
are unique and in demand. The 302 offers a lot of functionality in a very
small, light weight box. The 302A is a nice GPS logger with a lot of
memory. The 303 LCD Display (when used with the 302 or 302A) offers simple
navigation and is ideal for use in clubs and syndicates.

I think there has been a fair amount of exaggeration and speculation in
regard to Cambridge in this forum. The above is my honest opinion.

I have just sent my antique Mk 10 logger back to be fixed (pilot error). It
was done without problem, came back without problem and all done with
friendly good humor. This follows calibration last fall, where the
experience was the same. Gary, Dave and the ladies who run things, were just
like Cambridge in the old days. Only the address has changed. howard banks
(ASW-20B __ 1XX).
