There are already more than 400 Duo Disci flying around and also the
demand for the DG-1000 is high.
Beside that, there are also still a lot of older types like Janus and
DG-500 flying around
These gliders are excellent for competition flying and lot's of these
pilots also like to fly competitions.
The problem is: it's not an official FAI class.(OK, it's open class,
but you won't stand a chance in that class).

Germany already has it's 20 meter two-seater class nationals.
Also in lots of decentralized competitions there are special 20 meter
2-seater classes.
So, if there are already lot's of competions in this non-FAI-class,
why not make it an official FAI-class?
