I've never flown one myself, but about ten years ago a then member of my
club named John Urbahn (or Urban) acquired a nearly finished kit,
completed it and flew it for some time before selling it. Last I knew
he was living in New Hampshire. He also built and flew a Fly Baby,
which he may still have registered. The FAA registry might also lead
you to current owners of LP-49's.

I flew one for a few years and did all my badge flights through diamond,
less diamond altitude, ironically, in it. A fine glider but the biggest
negative from my standpoint was it was hard to disassemble.
