Any Alumni of the LB Gliderport, Lexinton, VA?

Anyone? Learned to fly there with Lyn Bachtell and Karl Rhomann. Amazing airfield. First time flying there from Bluefield, it took as while to see it. Definitely did not look like an airport!

Was there and watched a 1-23 botch an approach, literally do a touch-and-go, make a 180 of the east end, and land. Bob Hoover would have been proud.

Hello Mark. Was there in the 70's and watched a 1-23 botch an approach; pilot did a touch and go off the east end, made a 180, and landed. Certainly was a Bob Hoover moment.
