I am always on the lookout for older sailplanes that might possibly be for sale at reasonable prices and came across an advertisement for a machine shop auction that happens to have a PIK-20 sailplane and trailer. The auction is this Thursday February 15th and if I could go I would. The sailplane appears to have been stored for quite a while and a check of FAA records show that whoever owned it failed to keep the registration current. There is no mention of log books, damage, or other information on the auction site but there are pictures. The auctioneer might have more information. The auction is in Murray, Utah (Salt Lake City area) and the auctioneer’s web site is Statewideauctionco and ends in the traditional dot com. Just passing on what I found in case someone out there might be looking for a sailplane and can attend. Depending on condition and paperwork (not to mention other bidders) it might be be a deal.
