Old Cambridge GPS Nav

Powered up an old Cambridge GPS Nav today and the LCD Display gives me the warning to check the LCD Cable.
Having done this, made a new cable etc, I have still got no solution to the problem.

Any suggestions other than the rubbish bin? :)

Commonly one of the sockets has a problem. Look closely at both. Also do the "stupid" check of making sure the cable has the connectors oriented right. Look at the diagram in the manual carefully and compare.

Take the "Windows" approach. Try plugging and unplugging the connector more than a few times. Might be some light corrosion on contacts. Make sure the cable is made correctly. If you have the hardware, try the same logger and cable with a different display. If that doesn't work, post the whole thing to me when you get another batch of radios for me to buy.

Problem kinda solved. Thanks for the tips.
When powering the LCD up I need to hold the GO button. Works fine.
If I don't do this it requires a cable check. No idea why but I can live with it the way it is.
