View Full Version : Seeking help regarding SeeYou waypoint management

If you are an experienced SeeYou user, hope you can help me.

I don't want waypoints all combined into one master waypoint file. Instead, I want waypoints cataloged in sub-folders specific to "take-off" location. Therefore, when opening SeeYou waypoint database, you would be presented with a list of "take-off" locations. Once a specific "take-off" location is selected, only then would associated waypoints be viewed. Waypoints for each "take-off" location could be entered manually or imported from official databases like the Worldwide Soaring Turnpoint Exchange.

Is this possible if using latest SeeYou desktop version 9.06?

Thanks for your help.

Yes, though the terminology is different. You can have different waypoint files, and select which one you want to open each time you start SY.

Keeping all your waypoints in one file is like saving everything you have ever written in one Word document.

Download the specific file for the site at which you will be flying from the WWTP exchange. Save it to your preferred folder on your PC.

Open SeeYou and go to the waypoints window. Select File | Save As and save your current file for future use, then

Go to File | Open and browse to a previously saved waypoint file on your computer. Then either "Open in a new window" to preserve the current waypoint file, or "overwrite my waypoints & tasks" to replace the current waypoint file.

If you open in a new window, then you will have two waypoint windows open in Seeyou and you can toggle between them via the Window menu.
