The reason I carry a EPIRB in my parachute strap is I have cleaned up a mid
air of two gliders.
Fact not much was left of the fuslage after the wings came off any ELB would
have been dust like the 3/4 of the front part of the fuselage we could not
find, we found fibers.
The most recognised part from the fuselage was the top portion of the
battery.
When skiing in Australia my 457kHZ is useless no one has them so I take my
EPIRB
I take it on country road trips and 4WDing.
I figure if you live then the ELT gets activated.
The reason I ski with it is mobiles dont always work I was very lucky one
day i followed the nice snow a few turns to far.
I got out it was dark I was cold it was late.
Whats your life worth ?
