Advice needed- 1-34 tow hook replacement

A friend of mine has a 1-34 and he needs to replace the tow hook and
release arm. Question is...how? The floor is riveted in place and
access is just about impossible. There is a very small access hole in
the floorboard, but all it lets you do is see the nut on the bolt.
HELP!

have a competent mechanic drill out the rivets... carefully.. remove the
floor.. and then pop rivet it back on

other option.. call Schweizer for advice

Sounds like this 1-34 has had it's nose cone screws & junction bondoed =
over. Find the screws under the bondo, remove the cone and access the =
hook mechanism from the front.

Turns out the factory began putting access holes and plates in the
floorboards after a certain serial number. This was an early ship and
so it has to have the holes cut in the floor to get to the parts. The
nose cone is not bondo'ed on, but you sure cannot get to the parts
that way, or thru the cockpit. We have the factory drawings for the
modification. So, problem solved.
