Can anyone please help me with information on the Silent-IN
motorglider regarding its flying characteristics, soaring ability, air
brakes and any bad habits.
Many Thanks Roger

I've briefly flown the 12m version and it was very impressive! The
handling was very nimble and the roll rate the quickest I've ever
seen. The day was dying as it was after 6pm but I could thermal in
some zero sink enough to tell you get lots of feel for the air and
easy to maneouver in the thermal.
It was very easy to land - at low speed too.
I did an aerotow since I've not checked out for motors - the tow was
fine. I've seen it self launch a several times and it appears to be
one of the fastest climbing motorgliders i've watched.
It has been a couple of years since I flew it but I absolutely do not
remember any bad habits.
Regarding why so many are for sale right now - my guess is that
several 12m Silent owners are upgrading to the 13m silent2.
Also assembly is quick and lightweight.
