View Full Version : Region 4 North contest hosted by M-ASA, Fairfield, PA

July 31st 18, 05:23 PM
On behalf of the Mid-Atlantic Soaring Association, you are invited to compete or visit R4N's fall contest October 6 - 13 from it's Fairfield, PA airport (W73). Details are here: http://www.ssa.org/Contests?cid=2423.

Fairfield is a beautiful soaring site nestled not far from Amish farmland and the Alleghenies. Its usually a thermal event but a timely cold front bringing NW winds can spice it up to include ridge and wave. And, you should see this area when the leaves start turning; it is gorgeous! R4N is a great way to end the soaring season and I Hope to see you there!

Fun place to fly. I flew the day Jonathan did something like 104MPH raw time. Hmmmm.....maybe 20 years ago? I think I did mid 70's and thought, WOW.....,
Just watch the "R" for Camp David.
