2004 is not over yet, but for many of us in the southeast it will be
the year to remember the 3 GTA pilots that made the US Soaring Team
and will represent us in the World Championships.

Dave Stevenson will represent the USA in the Club Class
The international version of the GTA :-)

Francois Pin will represent the USA in the World Class

Dick Butler will represent the USA in the Open Class.
Dick won both the 15m & Open class this year and got to choose which
team to fly on.

Congrats to all! We are proud of our friends.

Next year the Pre-Worlds are coming up and then the Worlds in 2006.
Let's support our team!

Sorry for being so ignorant, but what does 'GTA' stand for?

The letters GTA in our name stand for Georgia Tennessee & Alabama.
This is where most of our pilots are from as well as where we hold
most of our races.

I had also added the link to our web pages hoping that some more
pilots would be curious and possibly come join us.

BTW I've sorta thought we should rename it "TAG" but tagging another
aircraft seems to be the wrong idea. Suppose GTA is a lot like the
car racing terms GTO and GTU [Grand Turismo]. Although it also works
as Grand Theft Auto...
