Classifieds will no doubt find a similar "offer" in your in-box...I wonder
if they even know what a sailplane is?

As I understand it, they pay for the aircraft or car (whatever) with
what check out to be "good funds". The deal falls through, and they ask
for their funds back, and you contentiously oblige. Then their check
bounces at the country of origin and you're out $30,000. In some cases
I've heard of them getting away with the car before the deal collapses.
Lots of scams out there, so be skeptical.
