Has anyone tried iPAQ hx4705 yet ? It's got 624MHz processor, that
should make moving map a lot smoother I think.

There is also Dell Axim X30 624MHz Handheld, I recently saw a deal
where it was selling for $267 new on Dell.com. But it looks like it
does not have serial interface.

Hi,

I haven't tested it yet, but the new iPAQ 4705 looks very interesting due to
its large 4" diagonal screen and fast processor. My research shows that it
does use the same data connector as recent iPAQs and does have a serial
port - which is nice.

I don't like the Dells much because I don't think they have a serial port
that works with soaring GPS products.
