View Full Version : KOMET Trailer Cradle

September 26th 04, 08:16 PM
Having a wobbling problem with the cradle on my KOMET Trailer while
installing the wings on my glider.

Any experience or suggestion to fixing this annoying problem?

It causes excessive effort while installing the wings.

I have seen short sections of chain attached to each
side of the jack, so that when the jack is fully extended,
both chains are drawn taunt. Make this happen at the
correct height (glider main wheel just off the ground)

The supports holding the cradle itself broke on my Komet. Before they broke
the cradle did wobble somewhat on the dolly. Find out where the wobble is
coming from. On mine, the cradle was sheet metal, rather springy, and folded
down over the pivots on the support.
Good luck

Bill,

I am the US Komet Dealer and I saw your post on R.A.S. and would like to
help, however I am not fully clear on the problem from your description.
Can you call me sometime to discuss or send me an e-mail with more details.
