Is the .apk file for this app available for download somewhere?

Very nice, is there a way to set the imagefor thermal updraft velocity to fixed?

so far only classic colouring is available. I could add another drop down menu above each plot frame to switch between "classic" and "fixed" colouring. Maybe in a later release.
I always only use classic colouring though.
The google play store search is a bit clumsy. best try the link to find the app. I tried adding more keywords. If you search by my name you should find it.

On my Pixel 2 with Android 9 I don't see the maps. I get the list of 6 drop down selections (to 4 maps), but no maps. Am I missing something obvious?

Very Nice!!
A couple of suggestions for improvements:
- Setting to change the number of frames. I would personally like 8 instead of 4.
- A setting to change the forecast model. I like looking at the NAM a couple of days in advance.
Thanks again!

How do you change the time? I see the days...........

It displays the same as the standard Dr Jack website defaults. Eastern US shows 18Z and western US shows 21Z. Could add another switch for changing between 18Z and 21Z.

In the latest release you can configure each map to either "classic coloring" or "fixed coloring"

Same here. Works on an old Nexus, but shows no graphics on Pixel2, just populated dropdown boxes....

Boris,
Thank you for the quick update! Works well on my Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4.

Same here on Pixel 2. The dropdown bars are there but doesn't display the images (maps). Also, keeps crashing after the 2nd and all subsequent runs. My phone offered to send all the crash data and sysinfo to you, hopefully you'll be able to fix it.
Otherwise, great and useful app, works well on an older Android 6.0 device.

I am bummed it doesn't work on my Pixel 2 either.
Great job! Works nicely on a Samsung SM-J320V. Gonna be helpful this summer.

On my Pixel 2, after initially getting only the list of parameters, but no maps, after closing and reopening, I get message that "Dr Jack Viewer keeps stopping." Can't do anything beyond that- list of parameters stops showing up.

Spoke too soon. The app now crashes every time on startup. Hope you can fix this, as I think it has great potential. Having been a programmer, I know those nasty bugs just keep coming. And you can't redefine some of them as "features." Good luck.

To all Pixel 2 or Android 9.0 users. The image loading bug should now be fixed. Try latest release on the app store. Images should load.

Images now load on Pixel 2. App crash is still there.

Works on first startup, or after App data/cache clear. Crashes on each subsequent start. Pixel 2.

Updated app. No change. Still crashes on startup. Uninstalled, reinstalled app. Works first time, then crashes on subsequent attempts.
Samsung J320V. Android 7.1.1
Hope you can get the bugs worked out. Looks like a handy app to have.

Still crashes on second and subsequent use on a Samsung Galaxy Note 8... only fix is to un-install and re-install...

FYI. This App seems to work on my Chromebook.
Nice that it also seems to work full screen.

Reposting this here. Dr Jack viewer seems hard to find on google play store. If you haven't tried it here is the link

The real question is, when will the startup bug be fixed? As you can see in this thread many of us have reported that the app runs OK the first time but any subsequent run causes the app to crash. Until that is fixed I'm sure it will remain hard to find on Play.

I second the bugfix request. I liked the app, but it is unusable with this bug.

I find that I have to clear the app's cache and memory each time I want to use it. Have tried it on several different Samsung devices with the same result.

I have the crash problem also but I have determined if I change the
region back to the default Northeast before ending the program the crash
will not happen on the next startup.

Well, I checked this app (which I've had on my Samsung phone, Android 10, for some time) right now. At first no success, but after cleaning the data (just once) it seemed to work OK, repeatedly. And after few new trials, alas, KEEPS STOPPING again.
