Evan, I have just started to feel comfortable with managing CN to SeeYou and Google Earth file management. If I update CN to this version will I consider or need to jump out of a window? :(

I downloaded and installed. No issues. Many won'tnotice the changes.

This is a maintenance release. It kills a few bugs that most users never see. There's no change in functionality or feature set.

best,
Evan

Down loaded this morning and flew this afternoon. Worked for me.

Just a warning about how to update. USE A BLANK MEMORY STICK. I used one I had used from a prior year and got some rather odd results (due to a mix of old and new files). Did the update again with a blank stick and all was well. Lesson learned.

Called Rex about a problem with my CN2, happened to be the day after this update was put on the website. He told me about the update, which fixed it.
Used the old stick. Believe my issue was the number of files stored in memory, now not a problem.
Another part of the update is to ignore files beginning with a dot. Useful for anyone running OSX.

No need for new stick. Just delete the old updater files.

Hank,

When I opened the updater zip file it contained several folders and an unknown number of files.

I dragged this group of new folders+files on my old non-blank pre-used memory stick assuming (!) that this would overwrite the correct collection of old "stuff". Based on my outcome this was a bad assumption on my part. I have to confess that I wouldn't have known which were the "updater files" and which I would need to delete.

PS - The CNII updater installation instructions clearly states, "Copy and paste the contents to a BLANK USB STICK." (emphasis added). Not that I typically read instructions because, gall-darn-it, I *KNOW* how to update glider avionics! Yet another bad assumption on my part ... ding-blast-it.

YMMV, John OHM Ω
