Hi
I have just had a lovely gentle flight. Bright sunshine but the air temparature
below zero we aerotowed to 4000ft and encountered gentle wave. Once below the
scattered cumulus we found very weak small thermals. Landed the Duo and tucked
into mince pies with my club mates. What a lovely way to spend boxing day in
the UK

Anyone else any happy memories?

Could see some great ridge soaring on the northerly wind today with ships
from the Southdown GC at Parham Park in West Sussex, just a shame i was
otherwise engaged :(

Nice wave at Boulder today. Up to Rocky Mtn. National Park, around Long's Peak,
not very rough. ACT wouldn't let us in the window, too much traffic to Engle,
Aspen and Steamboat.
Always fun flying 29J the Soaring Society of Boulder's 2-32. Did about 2.5
hours.

Hello Holiday Flyers,
Nice wave day at Boulder. Went flying with Simon Roberts, one of our tow pilots
and budding glider guider, up to Rocky Mountain National Park, we visited Longs
Peak, no tracks on the summit, did a little tour of the local land marks up to
Estes Park. We where up for about 2.5 hours flying 29J, the Soaring Society of
Boulder's SGS 2-32, aka, The Explorer re NCAR and the IMAX film, Storm
Chasers.
ATC wouldn't open the Arapahoe Peaks window for us, too much traffic into
Aspen, Engle, and Steamboat.
I usually post pictures at the Yahoo Cirrus group if you what look. The album
is #330, WO.
Good and Safe Flying, Happy New Year,
Gunnar Blanke
