I've sent the factory an e-mail with this question, but I wanted to
poll the world of LX5000 users at large, how many of you have firmware
version 11 or greater, and for those of you raising your hand, how many
have had difficulty uploading turnpoints to the LX5000 from LXe (the PC
software)?
Last weekend I took my laptop to the gliderport to upload the new ASA
turnpoint database. My LXe version was 2.5.something, dated June 4
2004. I was able to connect to the LX5000 and download flight logs as
usual, but my efforts to upload the new TP database only resulted in a
flight computer with no turnpoints at all.
Saturday evening I downloaded the latest LXe software from LX Nav's
site, version 2.6.2.10 (Dec 14 2004), but got the same results Sunday
afternoon. Connect, no problem; open TP file from disk, no problem;
send data to instrument, no workie. I get the usual progress bars, but
after disconnecting the laptop, the LX5000 still has no TPs.
Has anyone else had this or similar problems?
Has anyone reliably used SeeYou's Connection Wizard to upload
turnpoints (which SeeYou calls waypoints) to your LX5000, or other LX
Nav product?

p.s. Yes, I RTFM'd.
