The DG-1001 e

The FES (Front Electric Sustainer) system is becoming increasingly established in the sector of single-seat sailing aircraft. More and more clubs and private pilots are learning to appreciate the benefits of this simple engine. A drive for everyone who, at the push of the button, transports the pilot back to safe heights and is hardly to be beaten in terms of operating comfort.

DG aircraft construction has therefore decided to offer this concept for the DG-1001 as well - the first time in a 2-seal sailplane. The already well-known FES drive from LZ Design is modified and delivers for use in the DG-1001 approx. 30 KW (40 HP). In Combination with a new battery generation, we expect the same performance as with the LS8-E Neo.

The construction of the first prototype begins in late summer. The first flight is scheduled for Spring 2020
