We have a few Dittel FSG2T radios that have just been overhauled and are in as close to new condition as you will get
Come with paperwork
Connector or harness can be made depending on what is needed
$550 including postage and can help out clubs or juniors if doing multiple purchases

Don't mean to hijack your thread - but where were they overhauled?
I have 2 that need repair.

Where are these coming from?
Shipping to some places on the globe can negate some of the savings based on where they ship from.

No, not looking......just asking....

Ross' post mentions shipping.
The FSG2T is plug and play for FSG71M replcement.

Shipping is, as Jim stated, included in the price.
If someone wants 2 or 3 then the price will come down a little accordingly
I am posting from Europe, and had them overhauled at the authorized dealer there.

I bought a 2T from Ross.

If you have an FSG-71, it is a direct replacement and is a much better radio.

Curious, why is it a better radio ?

I'd be curious too - considering that I have 2 broken ones (both with the same problem: a bad multifunction switch). I replaced the second one with an old 71M which doesn't have that problem. ROY

Europe went to a smaller freq spacing a few years ago....thus, many EU radios are "junk" since they can't handle the freq spacing.
For at least the US, they are perfectly fine and likely way better than older US radios....
Sooooo........newer radio that matches US/FCC rules but not EU rules.

At least, my understanding. Research before buying, but I believe I am correct.

The digital encoder on the FSG2T doesn't work well if dirty, like digital encoders on other equipment. It's easy to clean. I recommend the same stuff as in the CAI303 thread:
https://caig.com/product/deoxit-d5s-6/
Remove the radio, remove the dual concentric knobs, undo 4 screws, remove the face, squirt, replace everything.
Besides being easier to set up microphones and having variable squelch, the FSG2T deals with noise from USB stuff much better than the FSG71M.
Perhaps the 71M predated USB stuff in the cockpit?

I replaced my 71 with a 2T from Ross and the fidelity was much better.

As Roy says, the channel selector switch can be a weak point though. I understand it is more susceptible to external mechanical impacts.
