The current rankings are now available at http://soaringweb.org/US_Team/. There
have been significant changes to the rules, and the processes for
generating the rankings have been completely re-written, so even
though the rankings have been checked by many eyes there could well be
glitches. If you are an interested party, please do study the rules,
which are posted on the site, and the rankings. (The Standard Class Nationals have not yet taken place.)

If you have any questions at all, please don't hesitate to contact me by PM at

Gentle landings,

John Leibacher

Thank you John for all the work on the ranking and turn point webpages.

Very great thanks to John Leibacher for his work over many years on the team ranking and the turnpoint database. John was one of the first to recognize the need for a single place for turnpoint files in many formats and making them available on the net. Genious.

Add my thanks to that of John Seaborn and others for the Herculean contribution of Dr Leibacher to our sport. Keeping all those data bases current would seem to be the equivalent of a full time job, yet we in the soaring world get it all for a couple clicks. (And have been for decades.)

Not sure what we would do without John's generosity.

Merci, danke, etc.

Agreed. Every time I go to the Worldwide Turnpoint Exchange and download files of various sorts for a contest, I marvel that somehow they all get updated and in the right formats. I fear most of us just take it for granted--in the worst sense of those words--that this just "happens", always has, and always will. Obviously none of that is true, which is a tribute to John's efforts and time. Thanks!!!!
