AOPA Mentorship program (from student)

Has anyone participated in the AOPA Mentorship program?
I've looked into it, and I'd like to participate.
None of the local guys have replied to my email inquiry (yet).

What, in your experience, has it added to you or anyone you know?

I have done it years ago for a friend, have not done it lately, as I am now

Its a great program. I am currently in it as a student pilot. Its a good
way to get started and have someone to help you along and be interested in
your progress. I am about 1 month away from taking my checkride; and then I
have a flying buddy ready and waiting.
