I was looking at the information for Winpilot, and it struck me that the
requirement for the WinPilot Advanced version requires all sorts of interesting
hardware. One exception from the list is the LX20 to feed NMEA and pressure.

Took a look at Paul's excellent refference site, but am none the wiser for why
the difference. I can see that the differences in functionality imply the need
for "vario" information to be fed to the PDA. Is this omission because the LX 20
does not stream pressure information, or some more obscure requirement?

Do the other packages like Seeyou Mobile, Cumulous and XCsoar work with the LX20
- just wondering.

Winpilot Advanced requires only a standard NMEA stream.... just about
every GPS today can do this.... Winpilot pro requires pressure airspeed
and vario data for alot of its functions.... The LX20 does not provide
this information.

Everything except Winpilot Pro should work fine with the LX20....
