Robert asked me to post this request. Seems AOL has discontinued their
newsgroup service.

I have a Glasflugel 304CZ in the shop. the owner wants a Microair
transponder installed. Does anyone have a 337 form that I could have a copy
of covering a transponder instalation for this aircraft?

Thanks,

The request is for a copy of a completed form, not a blank, of an
installation already completed. Submitting a copy of a completed approved
example of the installation in a type sailplane is an aid in getting the
installation approved.

thanks,

Mike

Robert:

Why not just "installed such-and-such xpdr IAW manufacturer's
installation manual?" Your problem is going to be the antenna, though,
isn't it? You probably need to put an aluminum bulkhead from side to
side inside boom to make a ground plane. LaSor

By the way, what is your impression of the 304 in your shop?

Not necessarily. I use this antenna with excellent results.

Aircraft Spruce carries them. No ground plane needed.

What glider, and where in the glider is it mounted? Is the fuselage
carbon? I'm collecting info to update my transponder article.
